A woman discovered she was pregnant after picking up baby noises through a smart vibrator that accidentally recorded her insides.

The Lovesense sex toys, which is pretty much a vibrator with built-in Bluetooth, have been a victim of a bug where the devices start recording and storing nearby sounds.

This has caused some panic amongst users of the toys, as they fear that their most intimate and private moments have been broadcast worldwide. One woman got more than she bargained for.

Sophie Beckinshall from Leeds got quite a shock Monday night when she was in the middle of using one of Lovesense’s vibrators.

Speaking to Pseudo News, she said: “I was alone in the house and needed some relief, so I decided to use this new vibrator I got for my birthday.

“After using it, I noticed that it had a recording saved. I listened back to it and I heard what sounded like a heartbeat.

“I was freaking out so I went to the doctors and that’s where I found out that I was two months pregnant.”

A Fix Is On The Way

The Lovesense app connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth and picks up nearby sounds, which will then increase the vibrations of the device.

According to reports, it was not exactly clear that the audio was being stored.

It is currently being looked into by the Hong-Kong developers and will hopefully get a fix very soon.

Congratulations to the mother to be. This will definitely be a great story to tell on the kid’s 18th birthday in front of all their friends.

They’ll never want to have their phone on vibrate again.
