The Macy’s website has crashed today as parents desperately try to reserve a spot for their kids to meet Santa Claus.

While the people of the UK struggled to get Peter Kay tickets over the weekend, it seems that the US were having their own problems with seeing Santa.

Yes, the Macy’s on 34th Street in New York has for the first time introduced an appointment system to meet jolly old Saint Nick.

This has resulted in a server overload because so many parents want to make sure their kids have a happy Christmas.

For a while, no one could make an appointment and people took to social media to air their frustrations at this new system.

Who Does He Think He Is?!

One user wrote: “Macy’s taking Christmas away from my kids! Can’t get an appointment to see Santa!”

Another said: “An appointment to see Santa! Who does he think he is, Ryan Reynolds?”

Understandably, this has resulted in numerous parents loyal to Macy’s making the decision to jump ship to the nearest retail stores and shopping malls.

Could this lead to other shops across the globe following on from this trend? Only time will tell.

We reached out to both Macy’s and Santa Claus himself for comment, but are yet to receive any response.
