Now is your chance to take the beach holiday of a lifetime in 2024 to the hottest destination on the planet, Mars.
No, not the Mars Bar factory (although that would be amazing), we are in fact talking about the actual planet Mars and the reason is an interesting one.
New research by the US Geological Survey has uncovered some exciting new information regarding the surface of the red planet, with footage showing what looks like sand, rather than water as originally thought.
Back in 2015, NASA announced that there was evidence which helped show that there was water flowing on Mars after damp streaks were spotted.
However, now, news of a much dryer surface has been discovered and now it is much more of a sand like texture. Airlines are already salivating at the thought of a new holiday destination.
There is a major mission taking place in 2024 where select applicants will be taking a one-way trip to Mars and now there are plans to let people take a beach holiday as part of another package.
Speaking to a selection of powerful figures, one scientist pitched a vision of a planet that people could escape to and leave earth behind.
They told Pseudo News: “We’ve been looking at Mars and its potential as a new place of residence for years and now could be the first step in making this a reality.
“Earth, as we know it, is a lost cause so why not leave it behind for months at a time while it slowly implodes.
“We aim to get this idea in motion around the same time as the 2024 mission and we’ll keep everyone informed of any new developments.”
Ryanair is apparently interested in the venture but their planes start deteriorating if they try to go further than Dublin.
