Theresa May has announced that we won’t be getting a day off for the Royal wedding and Britain is not happy.
When Wills and Kate got married back in 2011, the nation was even more delighted when the day was made a bank holiday, meaning that we got a day off from work and school.
So when the news was announced that Harry and Meghan were engaged, we all began making our plans for another day off.
Until Theresa May announced that we won’t be getting one to celebrate the next Royal Wedding scheduled for Spring 2018.
As you can imagine, Britain was not best pleased to wake up to the news this morning and immediately took to social media to complain about the issue.
Some wrote that a vote should be held to decide whether or not Harry and Meghan’s wedding day should be made an official bank holiday.
We all know how much the UK loves a vote, but, Theresa May is having none of it.
Others have said that they will be holding a strike on the day of the wedding.
Many women are so distraught about the news that their favourite Royal brother is soon to be wed that they are glad to be working as a distraction.
Either way, Pseudo News would like to congratulate the couple on their engagement!
Even if it isn’t important enough to get us a day off…
